Today we have good news. We should receive the first devices of this eagerly awaited solar storage system in Q3 and we can deliver to the first customers by the beginning of Q4 at the latest. This information reached us this week along with the announcement of the next generation of the three-phase StoreEdge and thus successor to the popular RWS - the new RWB.
According to the manufacturer, it should be even more efficient and provide more safety. From our point of view, particularly interesting is the integrated connection to the SolarEdge Home network. In addition to controlling the PV production and battery, it also handles the entire backup power application during a blackout. This requires additional hardware and a firmware version upgrade.
But that's not all of the good news. SolarEdge also announced that the new low-voltage battery will also be compatible with StorEdge three-phase inverters (SE*K-RWS) from production date CW30/2021 and later. This means that it can also be used for installed systems that are currently waiting for a battery or for new systems with RWS that are in stock.
