SOFAR: NEW INVERTERS
KTL INVERTERS FOR LARGE PV SYSTEMS
New in the Krannich portfolio: The PV inverters from Sofar. The inverters are suitable for larger systems on apartment buildings, commercial properties or industrial plants, as well as for smaller projects on open spaces. The smallest inverter processes up to 25 kilowatts, the largest 255 kilowatts.
Outstanding features of the inverters:
- Many MPP trackers, especially in the lower power ranges the number is above average.
- Relatively high maximum current of up to 40A per MPP tracker, depending on the power of the inverter
- Integrated shadow management
- I-V curve scanning function
- 10-year warranty, extendable to 20 years
These special features apply to all Sofar PV inverters in our product portfolio. The other technical data vary.
The inverters are divided into several product series:
KTLX-G3 UP TO 50 KW
Sofar's smallest CI inverters cover a power range from 25 to 50 kW. Sofar recommends the inverters for PV systems with a maximum power of 37.5 kWp up to 75 kWp, depending on the inverter's power. The models up to 36 kW power have three MPP trackers, the larger models up to 50 kW have four. Two DC inputs are available per MPP tracker. Thus, six to eight module strings can be connected. The inverters comply with VDE 4105 and the prototype also with VDE 4110.
KTLX-G3 UP TO 80 KW
One power level higher are the PV inverters with a rated power of 60 and 80 kW respectively. These two inverters have 6 MPP trackers with two inputs each. They are similar to the devices for lower power ranges. However, It is possible to select DC overvoltage protection as type I instead of type II. This ensures overvoltage protection even against high lightning currents.
KTLX-G4 UP TO 125 KW
In the power range of 110 or 125 kW, 10 MPPT with two inputs each are provided. The two inverters differ from the other series in that arc detection (AFCI = Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) is also integrated. In addition, the KTLX-G4 with 110 kW output is already beyond prototype status in terms of VDE standard 4110.
The 110 KTL can also be found in Krannich's webshop. A predecessor model, without arc detection and with a lower maximum current at the MPP trackers of 26A. This inverter is otherwise comparable with the inverters of the KTLX-G4 series and complies with both VDE 4105 and VDE 4110.
255KTL-HV
The largest Sofar inverter is the 255KTL-HV. HV stands for High Voltage, the voltage level on the AC side is 800V. The rated power is 255 kW. There are 12 MPPT with two connections each. Just like the inverters of the KTLX-G4 series, it has integrated arc detection. The IP66 protection class makes the inverter perfect for outdoor use. Suitable for high voltage, the 255KTL-HV complies with VDE 4120, as well as VDE 4105.
