Krannich Solar employs 1,000 people worldwide

Photovoltaic wholesaler employs over 1,000 people worldwide +++ over 400 employees in Germany +++ growth of 39 percent within one year

In 2022, the global number of employees at Krannich Solar increased by 39 percent. The internationally active solar PV distributor now employs more than 1,000 people for the first time in its more than 25 years history of operation. In Germany, the number of employees grew to over 400, while the other 25 locations worldwide employ a total of almost 600 people. Most of the staff outside Germany are employed in the USA, where more than 100 employees work in the four branches. The branch with the largest number of employees at the same location is the Swiss office with over 80 employees.

"Photovoltaics plays a very important role against the climate crisis and for the urgently needed energy transition," says founder and CEO Kurt Krannich. "Only with the help of solar energy will we be able to replace fossil fuels and nuclear energy. There is a lot to do in the next few years - all over the world. Krannich Solar will do its part and we will continue to grow in 2023."

Employee development since 2012

In 2012 and 2013, the situation looked completely different. "At that time, the PV industry had to deal with primarily political hurdles. Many players had to shut down their business. Today we know: Krannich Solar emerged stronger from this period," says Kurt Krannich. Since 2014, the number of employees has been growing continuously and faster every year. In 2022, almost 200 new employees were hired, more than ever before. For the new year, the PV wholesaler expects similar dynamic growth.
