What will do you

This role will be responsible for providing support to the operations manager and assisting with day-to-day operations. The operations assistant will help ensure that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, building up, and leading the regional operations team
  • Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
  • Perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data, and reduce sub-rental expenses
  • Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout; implement changes
  • Run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace - follow OSHA guidelines and requirements
  • Work closely with management and HQ team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems, and to follow through with implementation
  • Ensure profitability and sustainability of the branch

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Implementing Company Policy
    • Ensuring that the operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by the fellow management and other employees
  2. Ensuring Profitable & Sustainable Growth
    • Developing strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established by HQ management and the local market/needs
    • Assist the COO to ensure that the operating results established in the annual budget are achieved - as a minimum - and the control of operating expenses within budget
    • Putting in place adequate operational planning and financial control systems
    • Forecasting of sales and operations costs
    • Monitor operation costs closely - continuous adjustments of operations costs in order to ensure the company's profitability
    • Recommending to the HQ management changes to policies and procedures that would improve the organization
  3. HQ Reporting & Risk Management
    • Maintaining continuous communication and dialouge with the HQ management
    • Implementing strategic management decisions on a local branch level
