What will do you

  • Maintain ledger; record and document company financial transactions
  • Reconcile bank statements to the accounting system daily and review monthly
  • Post journal entries for required reclassifications, monthly accruals, and provisions
  • Update vendor information
  • Keep updated budgets; handle payroll invoices, and confirm expense reports
  • Review data to ensure that proper procedures are being followed
  • Conduct or assist with fixed asset audits
  • Identify and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Utilize database management systems to maintain up-to-date record keeping of financial documents
  • Assist external accounts and controlling team year long and at yearly review to ensure compliance with financial standards
  • Process approved all accounts payable invoices for payment
  • Research vendor statements to determine status of payables on account.
  • Issue domestic and international payments.
  • Provide projections of short-term payables due to staff accountant for the forecast for upcoming payments required.

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting, business, finance, math, or a related field
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Familiarity with accounting software and tax preparation software such as Intuit QuickBooks, PeachTree, Sage 100 Accounting, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding company accounts
  • Perform accurate work to the highest standards of accountancy
  • Able to complete work to deadlines with little direct supervision
  • Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills
  • Superior verbal communication skills
  • Accounting: 3 years (Preferred)
  • GAAP: 2 years (Preferred)
