Krannich Solar remains on course for growth in 2024 - despite a PV market that has changed in 2023. "After many PV markets around the world ran hot for two years, they cooled down noticeably, especially in Europe and the USA," explains Kurt Krannich, founder and CEO of the PV wholesaler. "The warehouses of installers, dealers and manufacturers are full, orders have declined, and prices are under pressure in some cases. This is the expected consolidation, a market environment that we still expect in 2024."
In this environment, Krannich Solar was able to further expand its international position. New branches are currently being established in Croatia and Slovenia, with significant business expansion in the USA. Portugal was previously managed from Spain and is now becoming independent. Warehouse capacities were also expanded further, with new warehouses being opened in Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands. At the beginning of 2023, more than 1,000 employees worldwide were celebrated for the first time; this figure has since risen to over 1,200.
In 2023, Krannich continued to focus on being a good and reliable partner for its customers. For Krannich, this means offering outstanding customer service and the highest delivery quality. Krannich is also consistently continuing on the path of digitalization that it began years ago. The webshop is constantly improving and adapting to customer needs. Under the motto "Better. Together", the largest trade fair appearance of all time took place at Intersolar Europe, the world's most important industry trade fair.
The wholesaler believes it is well positioned for the future: "Despite all the challenges, we closed 2023 with a significant increase in sales and are well prepared for 2024," says Jens Ullrich, Chief Revenue Officer. "The PV markets are constantly changing, and we have experience with it. However, increased awareness of climate-friendly energy and rising electricity prices in the medium and long term will continue to ensure strong demand for PV products worldwide."
The share of renewable energies is growing in many countries, raising more and more structural issues and questions about grid stability. Storage systems for both private households and commercial customers can make an important contribution here, and are becoming lucrative in more and more countries. "This is also where Krannich comes into play," adds Jan Brunner, Chief Sales Officer: "As a PV wholesaler, we serve as the ideal interface. When it comes to planning large systems and putting together the necessary components, manufacturers, installers and customers are happy to make use of our expertise and experience."
